Forgot to put this in the rewind. Is this a surprise to anyone? Even the biggest Byron Scott fan in the world knew this was coming. Magic, your thoughts?
I would disagree on the great coach part. I know his teams sucked and he had to try and get Kobe out the door, but back to back worst seasons in franchise history doesn't really happen to great coaches. Great coaches don't bench their young cornerstones and play them inconsistently when there's nothing else to play for or build on. That's actually what a moron would do. I know he had his reasons, but when you're coaching a garbage team and the most important thing is helping the young guys get better and experience, there's better ways to handle things. So the Lakers will probably win the lottery because they're the Lakers, and they'll have a better head coach so congrats? I guess? They'll probably still suck for a while, but who knows? It's the Lakers after all.
PS- How about Magic having ONLY 4 likes on Twitter?
First like being your own tweet is power move of the century is it not? "I've never liked a tweet enough to hit the (then star) heart, except my own." 25% of Magic's likes are his own tweets. Magic Johnson twitter never ceases to amaze me.
