Cleveland Browns Expected To Part Ways With Johnny Manziel In March

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14697600/cleveland-browns-moving-johnny-manziel-latest-incident-source-says

Well there ya go.  Cleveland is officially done with Johnny Football and the only reason they're waiting to cut him is so they don't have a $4.6million cap penalty.  Browns fans swear off saying his name and the very next day the Browns announce plans to cut him, so the fans will rarely have to bitch about him again.  Why do you care?  You probably don't, but as the last man in his corner (and the fact it's my blog) I want to talk about it.  His first two years in the league?  A disaster.  Does that mean his career is over?  Not at all.  The guy has the talent to be a good NFL quarterback, like it or not he really does.  I've said it a few times that Cleveland was just the wrong fit.  In my "case for Johnny Manziel" post I talked about teams that would be a good fit.  Some of them I mentioned were the Rams and Chiefs, and according to some reports Johnny has told people that the Cowboys have expressed interest in him as well as THE RAMS AND CHIEFS.  Does that make me a genius?  Not yet, I'll take credit for being a genius when he's good, but I think both those teams would be better than Dallas.  I think Jerry Jones would absolutely give him the longest leash, but the pressure of being the Cowboys quarterback is huge.  Remember how everyone tore Tony Romo apart year after year until last year?  And he wasn't that bad?  Exactly.  You think that would be good for Johnny right now?  Exactly.  I would be a fan of Johnny LA, because I don't think they'll care as much as Browns fans and he could maybe work through his issues.  KC is also good because even though Andy Reid is an awful with clock management, he has a history of getting the best out of quarterbacks.  Basically anywhere but Cleveland would be good for Johnny at this point and everyone can forget about this disaster and hopefully both the Browns and Manziel benefit from this split.

Like this post?  Share it!  Not sharing it would be a bigger disaster than the Browns front office.
