The Mamba is back! Nah, but he did have a great game last night, dropping a season-high 38 on Minnesota, including some clutch shots down the stretch (he shot 10-21 and 7-11 from 3 and 11-12 from the free throw line). It'd be cool if he did this more often, since the Lakers are basically unwatchable garbage this year, instead they get blown out and Kobe jacks airballs and talks about how much his body hurts. I actually want the season to be over for the Lakers, just so they can really start to actually move on and let the young guys go out and do their thing. The best part of Kobe's 38 last night? Kobe's thoughts on Kobe's 38 last night:
Classic Kobes. What are we impressed by? The fact you actually scored 38 when you can barely walk anymore how about that? Or the fact that it didn't take 300 shots for you to score that many points? What I'm most impressed by is the fact he's pissed. I mean he's always angry, that's his thing, but he's now so angry that he can't even be happy when he plays well. There will never be another Kobe, long live the Mamba.
