NFL WILDCARD WEEKEND RECAP

Pittsburgh 18 Cincinnati 16

Uneventful first 3 quarters, Big Ben got hurt, AJ McCarron threw a td to AJ Green, and it looked like Cincy was going to hang on and finally win a playoff game.  Then this happened:

which immediately led to this:

And thus, the Steelers win and Bengals fans were NOT happy.

And you have reports of a fans fighting after the game, including one incident where a Bengals fan pissed on a Steelers fan and punched him in the face.  Major insult to injury, covered in a guys piss then he socks you in the mouth because your team beat his team and his team lost because their coach can't control them and they're really just a bunch of jackasses.  Long live the Bungles.

 Seahawks 10 Vikings 9

A little more misery before we get to the highlights of the weekend.  I for once was pulling hard for the Vikings to win, and what happens?  The Seahawks play like garbage all game, then they pull some Seattle luck right out of their ass, because they are the luckiest team in all of sports and I absolutely HATE them.  Their fans are dickheads and they always get so.  Fucking.  Lucky.  It's sickening and I feel awful for Vikings fans who always seem to have their hearts ripped out and stomped on in these big moments.  But just how lucky are the Seahawks? Well the latest edition of Seahawks luck included this:

and of course, the 27 yard field goal attempt that ended up being the spear driven through the hearts of Viking fans:

Which led to a copious amount of sad/funny fan reaction videos that'll I'll show in a separate blog later.

On the bright side this is still a young Vikings team that should only keep getting better.  Also I didn't mention the Adrian Peterson fumble, that led to points for Seattle, can he really be considered the best running back ever with how often he fumbles?  People seem to overlook that, but he puts it on the turf a lot.  And before everyone attempts to murder Blair Walsh, let's not forget that the Minnesota offense did him no favors, he scored all their points, yeah he should've easily made a 27-yard field goal, but it's more than just that for why the ultimately lost.  Like last year in the god damn NFC championship game when Brandon Bostick dropped the onside kick and Seattle (those lucky sons of bitches) recovered and went on to force OT and win.  There was way more in that game that led to that terrible terrible loss.  Here's hoping Cam Newton just destroys this team next week.

Chiefs 30 Texans 0
YES.  HELL YES.  No more JJ SWATT this season.  I'm sure he'll find a way to be in headlines or make sure he's seen or heard from in some way or another.  How bout that warrior playing with a groin injury he's had for apparently 6-7 weeks?  Then when his team is getting slaughtered thats when it's too much?  Weird right?  Oh well, Chiefs were up and down in the first half, but looked awesome in the second half, unfortunately they have to play New England next week and so they'll probably lose.  Part of me is hoping Super Bowl 50 is Packers Chiefs which would be a rematch of Super Bowl I.  That's written in the stars right?

Packers 35 Redskins 18

Highlight of my weekend for sure.  After the first quarter I thought it would be an ugly game for our offense and we'd just limp into the sunset and hope for the best next year.  Then the best quarterback in the league turned it on and our offense looked like an actual NFL offense again.  Not quite the dominant offense I'm used to from the Packers, but good enough to were that, combined with our defense gives me the false hope to believe we can still make a Super Bowl run this year, even without the most underrated receiver in the league Jordy Nelson at Rodgers' side.  Obviously we have a rematch with Arizona who MURDERED us two weeks ago.  But if the o-line can play like it did quarters 2-4 yesterday and keep Rodgers upright, then I really believe they have a shot.  Even the two weeks ago, if Rodgers doesn't get sacked ever three drop backs, and Arizona doesn't get like a hundred points off of turnovers they were right in that game still.  Should be a fun divisional round, at least on the NFC side. And remember...
